Hardware Requirement
Security
Data is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS) served from the content origin to the CDN node sitting at the network edge. In the case of Relay and CAST nodes, E2EE (End-to-end encryption) ends there. Therefore, there is a need to ensure the edge cache runs in a secure environment free from malware or man-in-the-middle attacks.
Only hardware that runs trusted boot, a process that ensures node that can not been tampered with can be used to serve content to other users.
