# Hardware Requirement

## Security

* Data is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS) served from the content origin to the CDN node sitting at the network edge. In the case of Relay and CAST nodes, E2EE (End-to-end encryption) ends there. Therefore, there is a need to ensure the edge cache runs in a secure environment free from malware or man-in-the-middle attacks.
* Only hardware that runs trusted boot, a process that ensures node that can not been tampered with can be used to serve content to other users.
